Cachoeira do Rio de Pedras

Being verified

A refuge almost unknown to conventional tourism, in the middle of the ridge just past the bridge over the Rio de Pedras, on the road leaving Cavalcante toward Santa Bárbara / Engenho II. It's the same river that supplies part of the town — top-quality water, so clean it shelters the rare Brazilian merganser. A discreet fall amid an all-rock bed, with pools for swimming and almost no visitors.
