Cachoeira Quebra Ossos — Escadaria
A poorly documented waterfall in the Kalunga region of Cavalcante, described by those who know it as having a turquoise-blue pool similar to Santa Bárbara's. Also known locally as Escadaria ("staircase") for the rock steps the water comes down. A local-guide spot with no consolidated record online — confirm the name, access, and exact location at the Cavalcante tourist information center before you go.
- Kalunga area: visits require an accredited local guide, hired at the Cavalcante tourist information center or in the community. Since the spot is barely mapped, the guide is also needed to find the way in.
- Best from June to October (dry), when the pool is clearer and the turquoise color more intense. In the high-water season there's a flash-flood risk and the turquoise color is lost.
