Not yet open to visitors: added to the National Park in Jun 2024 and announced by ICMBio as the future northern entrance (via Cavalcante), the opening depends on a bridge, road improvements, and a technical safety review — no date. Before that, the area was closed for over 15 years by its former owners.

Cachoeira Santana
The gem of the National Park's future Northern Gate: an ~80 m fall with a big pool and a sequence of infinity-edge natural pools, ~10 km from Cavalcante. The area (Fazenda Mundo Novo, 977 ha) joined the park in June 2024, along with the neighboring Cachoeira Borda Infinita — ICMBio announced this will be the new northern entrance, today ~125 km by road from the only gate (São Jorge).
