Complexo Vargem Redonda
A complex of waterfalls and natural pools at Fazenda Barroco, 54 km from Cavalcante by dirt road. The easy trail leads to three greenish-to-bluish pools — Poço Verde, Bebedouro da Onça, and Poço Celeste — amid native cerrado, with a raised wood-and-iron walkway to take in the falls. Visits only with an accredited guide and by daily quota.
- Tour guide required (Fazenda Barroco requirement). Guide day rate around R$200 (2021 reference). Reception and facilities — bathrooms and a restaurant with a wood-fired stove — at the Fazenda Barroco headquarters.
- Limited spots: ~30 per day.
- Open Thursday to Tuesday, 7:30am to 5pm; last entry at reception at noon. As with all cerrado, the best time is the dry season / start of the dry season; in the rains there's a flash-flood risk and the dirt road gets worse.

The trail
A winding, relatively flat trail, easy to moderate, with stretches of uneven and slippery terrain. The third and fourth falls require an extra trail stretch. A raised wood/iron walkway gives a panoramic view of the first two falls.
