Cachoeira Salto do Curriola
A little-explored waterfall in the Vão do Moleque, on Kalunga land, in the same Rio Curriola water system as its neighbor the Cachoeira do Guardião — but it's a distinct fall, listed separately in the Vão do Moleque community-based tourism. The water comes down a narrow wall into a pool of intense, crystal-clear blue-green, ringed by forest. Access is far shorter and easier than the Guardião's: about 2 km of trail (round trip), with the option to continue ~4 km upriver to additional natural pools.
- Visits only with an accredited Kalunga guide from the Vão do Moleque community (required). Guide day rate around R$ 200, splittable across the group.
- Visits in the dry season, roughly May to November; closes in rainy periods, when the river swells.

How to get there
- From Cavalcante53 km
Final stretch requires 4×4.
The short access (~53 km from Cavalcante) is via the Maquiné road, leaving from Engenho II — a hard mountain road that even a 4x4 struggles with. There's a much longer detour (in the 120–140 km range, via the Complexo do Prata road) that a regular car can take in the dry season. It's usually combined the same day with the Cachoeira do Garimpão.

The trail
A short main trail, about 2 km round trip, easy. There's the option to continue upriver (another ~4 km round trip) past natural pools. Footwear that can get wet is recommended.
