Cânion São Félix — Complexo São Félix
The Cânion São Félix sits on the Rio São Félix, within Fazenda São Félix, northwest of Cavalcante. It's part of a complex that includes the famous Cachoeira São Félix — the "cerrado beach," with a white-sand band and a shallow pool — plus the Degrau and Boa Brisa falls. The canyon itself, with quartzite walls and greenish water, is reached by a longer trail from the beach, usually on a guided traverse.
- Access required with an accredited guide — the way passes through the quilombola community of São Domingos (which is not Kalunga). The traverse to the canyon is usually done on a guided tour.
- Best in the dry season (May–September/October). In the rainy season the dirt/sand road gets much worse and there's a flash-flood risk on the river/canyon stretches.

Final stretch requires 4×4.
From Cavalcante, ~68–70 km (~2h) via the Cavalcante–Minaçu dirt road (GO-241), heading northwest. At around km 40 there's a fork: one branch goes to the Complexo do Prata/Canjica; take the other, which passes through the quilombola village of São Domingos and leads to the Fazenda São Félix entrance. 4x4 recommended; stretches of soft sand. Headquarters at the farm; day-use and overnight (camping) available.
The trail
The beach/Cachoeira São Félix is just 200 m from the headquarters, on an easy trail (good for kids). The canyon and the Degrau and Boa Brisa falls require extra walking through the Rio São Félix valley (about 2 km one way on the full loop), with stretches through the water.
