Chapada Alta
A private waterfall complex on the farm of Seu Augusto and Dona Nazi, high on the ridge northeast of Alto Paraíso de Goiás (the Moinho area), ~51 km from town by a road with locked gates — visits only with an accredited guide and advance booking. The 'upper part' gathers, over a ~7 km loop, the Cachoeira do Lajeado with a natural infinity edge at its pool, a natural pool, and the Samambaia, Mirante, Vale das Araras, and Véu de Noiva falls, plus lookouts; in the rainy season the Vovô and Namorados falls are added. There's a camping area and a chalet with meals by reservation, and a larger 'lower part' suggested for 2 days.
- Access only with an accredited guide and well-advance booking — contact João Vitor (62) 99612-3413; Alto Paraíso agencies (Chapada 360, Via Ecotur) run the tour. Entry R$ 50–60 depending on the source (2022–2026) — confirm the price when booking.
- The Vovô and Namorados falls only have good volume in the rainy season (Nov–Mar); in June the Vovô was nearly dry.

The trail
The upper-part loop: short in km but very demanding — steep descents and climbs at each attraction, stretches with fixed ropes and exposure to drop-offs; gloves and poles recommended (Wikiloc). Agencies rate it hard/strenuous.
