Poço Xamânico
A natural pool of crystal-clear water for swimming at Reserva Renascer in Cavalcante — the same property as the Cachoeira Ponte de Pedra, but a separate attraction. It sits at the passage of the Rio São Bartolomeu's spring, which surfaces within the reserve, pairing the mysticism of the name with the silence of a headwaters spot. Unlike the waterfall's long trek, it's reached by short, easy trails (about 650 m round trip from one parking area, or just 250 m from the other). Entry through the same gate as the Cachoeira Ponte de Pedra, at KM 9 of the dirt road from Cavalcante toward Colinas do Sul (~9 km from the center), plus a few more kilometers driving within the reserve. Bookings with Reserva Renascer.
- Entry 8am to 2pm, return to the headquarters by 4pm — every day.
- Best for swimming in the rainy season, October to May, when the pool fills and is good for diving in. With the improved road, you can get there by regular car year-round.
How to get there
- From Cavalcante9 km
The same entrance as the Cachoeira Ponte de Pedra: KM 9 of the dirt road from Cavalcante toward Colinas do Sul; within Reserva Renascer, another ~2.5 km driving to the pool's parking area. A regular car can make it — the reserve is improving the rough stretches of road.
The route leads to the parking area, where the trail begins — the map pin marks the attraction itself, a short walk from there.
The trail
A short, easy trail: about 650 m round trip from one parking area, or just 250 m from the other — much lighter than the 6 km of the Cachoeira Ponte de Pedra, on the same property.
