Cachoeira da Roncadeira
The tallest in Taquaruçu: 70 m of free fall plunging off the sandstone wall on the climb up the Serra do Lajeado, forming a deep pool of cold, clear water surrounded by native forest. You can walk behind the curtain of water and, with an instructor, do the 70 m rappel down the side of the fall. A Palmas postcard, it tends to draw a lot of people in high season.
- Limited spots: ~400 per day.
- Open year-round. Nov–Mar has the most volume and spectacle (but a wetter trail); May–Sep is the ideal dry window for the rappel and firm footing. It's on private property within an APA, with controlled visits.
