Cachoeira do Escorrega Macaco
A ~50 m tall fall in the district of Taquaruçu, on the same trail as the Roncadeira — the Escorrega Macaco appears first, a few meters before it. The curious name doesn't come from a rock slide but from a forest vine that monkeys use to slide down the trees. The water falls into a small, shallow pool surrounded by forest; today swimming is banned for safety and the visit is contemplative only.
- The gate opens 8am to 4:30pm (entry to the trail until 4:30pm); closed Mondays part of the year. More water volume in the rainy season (Nov–Apr); at the height of the rains there's a flash-flood risk on the stream trail.

The trail
A single trail of about 1.5 km (one way) from the gate on the TO-030, through the forest, with signage and bridges. The Escorrega Macaco is midway, some 80–100 m before the Cachoeira da Roncadeira — you can see both on the same walk in.
